Initial structure is the cost of building the structure for a stage of the spacecraft. This does not include the cost of storage, moving the craft to the launch pad, flight checking it etc.. this is only the cost for its delivery. Initial structure price ranges from a thousand dollars for a low performance pressure fed seven kilogram model to five hundred million for a high performance pumped Saturn V class craft.

Given empty mass, exhaust velocity, structure price multiplier, structure exhaust scale, structure mass scale and ten ton structure price, initial structure cost is calculated which is in turn used to calculate the cost of the structure per launch and total initial structure.

initial structure = structure price multiplier * ten ton structure price * pow( ( empty mass / 10000 ), structure mass scale ) * pow( ( exhaust velocity / 3330 ), structure exhaust scale )

launch structure = initial structure / reusability

total initial structure ( second stage ) = initial structure ( first stage ) + initial structure ( second stage )

total initial structure ( third stage ) = total initial structure ( second stage ) + initial structure ( third stage )

This is used in spacecraft cost.
