Launch cost is the total cost of launching a stage of the spacecraft. For expendable spacecraft, launch structure is usually the largest component of the launch cost. For reusable spacecraft, launch labor is usually the largest component of the launch cost. Given fuel cost, launch labor cost and launch structure cost, launch cost is calculated.

launch cost = fuel cost + launch labor + launch structure
